Around 30 rounds were fired during the Eid al-Fitr event in West Philadelphia where over 1,000 people were gathered to celebrate the end of Ramadan.
The gunshots occurred between two rival groups. Likewise, among the five captives, four of them are juvenile teenagers, two 15-year-olds, two 16-year-olds, and one adult.
However, the Philadelphia police commissioner mentioned, “It was fortunate that no one lost their life even after 30 rounds of gunshots.”
The gunshots occurred at around 2:30 pm at the West Philadelphia park near 1,000 people gathering for the celebration.
Well, one of the shooters who was 15 years old was injured by a police officer as the shooter refused to drop his assault rifle. The 15-year-old boy was shot in his left arm and left leg to be held captive.
Likewise, the boy was rushed to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and placed in stable condition.
Similarly, a 22-year-old man who took a gunshot to his stomach was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital by police.
Well, among the five people arrested, three were males, one female, and one 15-year-old boy whom a police officer shot.
Talking to the consideration, the Mayor of Philadelphia, Mayor Cherelle Parker tweeted in support of the Muslim community.
In the midst of Eid al-Fitr, a Holy Day of celebration, our city’s Muslim community experienced a sacrilegious act of gun violence today in a West Philadelphia park. Every community of faith has the absolute right and need to worship in peace.

Well, the situation is under control by the big force of police officers and the investigation is ongoing.
