MS Dhoni steps down as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday announcing his replacement, Ruturaj Gaikwad as the new captain for IPL 2024.
With the news, MS Dhoni’s fellow national cricket player, Rohit Sharma shared a heartfelt post on his Instagram with a photo of himself and MS Dhoni expressing his love and respect to one of India’s legendary cricketers.
The news went viral after Ruturaj Gaikwad was seen attending the customary captains’ meeting before a day of IPL 2024.
With the confirmation tweet by the Indian Premier League regarding the new captain of Chennai Super Kings for the season 2024.

Besides, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli are also not leading their team as a captain marking the end of their era in the IPL.
Virat Kohli the former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore also stepped down from his captaincy to Faf du Plessis after the end of IPL 201.
Similarly, Rohit Sharma the former captain of Mumbai Indians was replaced by Hardik Pandya after the IPL 2024 auction in December.
Well, with some big changes in the opening of IPL 2024, people are expecting new strategies from the respective teams.
