The most awaited cricket franchise of India, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is starting today March 22 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai at 6:30 PM IST.
Well, as always, before the match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) kicks off, a grand opening ceremony will be held with some electric performances.
IPL 2024 Opening Ceremony Performers
According to the BCCI, the performance at the IPL 2024 opening ceremony included some big Indian celebrities such as actors Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Sony Nigam, and AR Rahman.
Along with them, renowned Swedish DJ and record producer, DJ Axwell will be performing in the mid-innings break.
Well, AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam will be performing patriotic songs as per the Hindustan Times.
Also, the duration of the opening ceremony will be around 30 minutes including the entire show of Askhay, Tiger, Sonu, and Rahman.
Besides the usual musical performances, an AR (Augmented Reality) show is also meant to happen during the ceremony.
IPL 2024 First Match timings
With the opening ceremony, there will be certainly some delay for the first match of IPL 2024 between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Well, the game will kick off at 8:00 pm at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.
However, the rest of the matches will be started as per their scheduled timings.
