Canadian woman, Jennifer Pan was convicted of attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder in 2010 for attacking both of her parents.

Jennifer Pan was born on June 17, 1986, in Markham, Ontario, Canada. As of 2024, Pan is living in her late 30s i.e., 37 years of age.
She was born to her father, Huei Hann Pan, and her mother, Bich Ha Pan. Her parents were Chinese refugees from Vietnam who settled in Canada.
Jennifer along with her brother, Felix grew up in Canada. She had a normal childhood with supportive parents who had high expectations of their children.
Her father Huei Hann Pan who was born and raised in Vietnam moved to Canada in 1979 as a refugee. He married his wife in Toronto and lived in Scarborough.
The couple worked at Magna International, an auto parts manufacturer in Aurora, Ontario.
The couple purchased a house in 2004 on a residential street in Markham to raise their kids.

Jennifer Pan took piano lessons at the age of four and figure skating classes hoping to become an Olympic figure skating champion.
Unfortunately, after she tore a ligament in her knee, she lost her dream of the Olympics. She continued her education at Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School.
Her parents were strict with her regarding parties, going to clubs, and being drunk or visiting friends.
During her time at the University, she dated Daniel Chi-Kwong Wong with whom she used to spend time lying to her parents. Daniel was an active marijuana dealer and managed a Boston Pizza.

Jennifer Pan decided to kill her parents after her parents found out that Pan was framing them by pretending to complete her degree at the University of Toronto.
She also said that she began working as a volunteer at The Hospital for Sick Children while she did not have a hospital ID badge or uniform.
After the suspicion, her parents found out her lies and restricted her from leaving the house and meeting his boyfriend.
Jennifer then, made some contacts to reach out to the killer, David Mylvaganam. On November 8, 2010, Pan unlocked the front door of their home from where Mylvaganam entered with two people carrying guns.
They took Bich and Hann to the basement and shot them multiple times. Pan’s mother, Bich died while Hann survived the gunshots.
The killers took all the money that was in the house and tied Pan who managed to call 9-1-1.
Pan was arrested on November 22, 2010, while Mylvaganam was arrested on April 14, 2011, at the Jane Finch Mall in North York, Toronto.
Likewise, Carty and Wong involved in the murder were also arrested on April 15, 2011, and April 26, 2011, respectively.
All four of them were convicted on December 13, 2014, and received a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
