Cricketer Shubman Gill was fined Rs. 12 lakh for IPL Code of Conduct Breach

Cricketer, Shubman Gill captain of Gujarat Titans (GT) of IPL 2024 was finned for Rs. 12 Lakh on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

As per the Indian Premier League (IPL), Shubman Gill’s team Gujarat Titans maintained a slow over rate during their match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) although during his team’s first offence of the season.

So, under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offenses, Shubman Gill was fined Rs 12 lakh for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.

Shubman Gill’s team Gujarat Titans (GT) lose the match against Chennai Super Kings by 63 runs on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Shubman stated after post-match, “They outplayed us when they were batting, and when they bowled their execution was spot on. We backed ourselves to get a good powerplay score but once we couldn’t we were always playing catch up.”

However, his team won their first opening match against Mumbai Indians by six runs.

Currently, Gujarat Titans are in the sixth position on IPL 2024 standings with two points and a net run rate of -1.425.
