Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain has been fined Rs 24 Lakhs after his team maintained a slow over rate during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals on April 3, 2024.
Before, Cricketer and captain of Gujarat Titans (GT), Shubman Gill was fined Rs 12 Lakh during the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 27, 2024.
This time, Rishabh Pant was fined double the price for a second over-rate offense in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
As per the Indian Premier League (IPL), Pant was guilty of maintaining a slow-over during the game. Likewise, the rest of the teammates were fined 25% of their match fees.
As a result, Delhi Capitals (DC) also lost the match to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by a massive 106 runs where KKR made 272 runs for seven, making the second-highest in IPL history.
Also, Delhi Capitals have lost their three matches in four games.
