Indian Premier League (IPL) one of the biggest cricket leagues of India is expected to start from March 22, 2024, till April 7, 2024.
Not every player from the last IPL is available for the 2024 IPL. Several players who are injured and unavailable to play for the 2024 IPL are replaced with new or other players.
Following are the lists of teams with injured players with their replacements in IPL 2024.
Gujarat Titans
Mohammed Shami – Injured
Mohammed Shami who was the top wicket-taker of the 2023 IPL is not available for the 2024 IPL due to his ankle injury during the 2023 ODI World Cup. However, his replacement is yet to be announced.
Matthew Wade – Miss Few Initial Matches
Matthew Wade, an Australian wicketkeeper will not be available for the initial few matches of Gujarat Titans for 2024 IPL as he will be playing in the Sheffield Shield final for Tasmania from March 21 to 25. However, he might be available after March 25.
Lucknow Super Giants
Mark Wood – Withdrawn from IPL
Mark Wood, a right-handed fast bowler has been withdrawn from the IPL to focus on the upcoming T20 World Cup with his home national team England.
Well, in his replacement, Shamar Joseph, a fast bowler from the West Indies has been named.
Rajasthan Royals
Prasidh Krishna – Injured
Prasidh Krishna, an Indian fast bowler will not be available for the 2024 IPL due to his surgery on his quadriceps tendon. He was injured during the Ranji Trophy.
Well, his replacement has not been announced yet.
Kolkata Knight Riders
Jason Roy – Withdrawn
Jason Roy, an England opener will not be available for the 2024 IPL as he has withdrawn due to personal reasons.
Well, his replacement is Phil Salt, an England and aggressive right-handed opening batsman.
Gus Atkinson – Not Available
Gus Atkinson, an England fast bowler will not be available for the 2024 IPL.
Well, his replacement is Dushmantha Chameera, a Sri Lankan bowler.
Chennai Super Kings
Devon Conway – Injured
Devon Conway, a New Zealand batsman will not be available for the 2024 IPL due to the injury and had to go under the thumb surgery.
His replacement has not been announced yet.
