ALLAHABAD: Mr. Navin Babu took over as Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the North Central Railway on Monday. He assumed the office of CPRO after the promotion of his predecessor Mr. Sandeep Mathur to the post of Chief Vigilance and Telecommunication Engineer/construction.

 

                Mr. Babu is an official of Indian Rail Engineering Service of 1992 batch who did his graduation in Civil Engineering from Roorki University and obtained the degree of post graduation from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

                Mr. Babu was earlier posted as Senior Divisional Engineer/Co-ordination at Jhansi division. He had started his service in railway as Assistant Engineer/Gangapur city at Kota division. Thereafter he also rendered his service as Senior Divisional Engineer in Allahabad division. Deputy Chief Engineer/ Track Supply at NCR headquarter among other prominent posts.

                In addition to this, Mr. Navin Babu also has experience in working in Udhampur Srinagar-Baramulla new railway line during his posting of XEN/survey and construction Northern Railway. This is a highly important national project which is under-construction in Jammu and Kashmir. A farewell function was also organised in honour of the outgoing CPRO, Mr. Sandeep Mathur, at Public Relations Department. During this function, a bouquet was also offered to Mr. Sandeep Mathur by the newly appointed CPRO Mr. Navin Babu which was followed by the garlanding to Mr. Mathur by the officials and employees of the PR Department. Mr. Mathur also congratulated Mr. Navin Babu for assuming the charge of CPRO and expressed his heartfelt thanks to one and all the officials and employees concerned for their contribution. And Mr. Mathur also asked the officials and employees of PR Department to extend the same support and contribution to Mr. Navin Babu in future as well.
