The recent FIFA Under-17 World Cup held in India ended in glory for the English team as they clinched the trophy for the first time since its inception.This was England’s second major triumph after winning the Under-20 World Cup held in South Korea ealier this year.The English Under-17 side won the trophy after defeating Spain in the final before a packed crowd at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.

The credit for England’s success should go to coach Steve Cooper and also to Phil Foden who played a major role in England’s victory.Apart from Foden,Rhian Brewster also did an outstanding job for the English team and finished as the highest goal-scorer in the tournament.The future of English football looks really bright after their recent success in the Under-17 World Cup in India and the English fans can expect a lot more from their team in the coming days.

The recent Under-17 World Cup produced a galaxy of stars who dominated the headlines with their wonderful display.For England,Foden and Brewster put up a brilliant show while Torres,Ruiz and Torres did an outstanding job for the Spanish team.Brewster finished as the top goal-scorer in the tournament while Foden won the’Player of the tournament’award.The Brazilian goal-keeper,Gabriel Brazao made some brilliant saves and won the award for the best goal-keeper of the tournament.Apart from Brazao,Paulinho,Lincoln and Brenner also did an outstanding job for the Brazilian team.For Mali,Ndiaye and Drame did a great job and helped their team to reach the semi-final.In the end there was plenty to cheer about for the English fans as the English team celebrated a great victory.There was something to celebrate for the Brazilian supporters,too,as the Brazilian team finished with a bronze medal after their victory over Mali in the bronze medal match.So,the FIFA Under-17 World Cup turned out to be a huge success and wecan expect India to stage bigger tournaments in the near future which will help the country to improve its standard of football.
